 What is corruption ?


Corruption, as it is defined by the World Bank, is a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense which is undertaken by a person or an organization which is entrusted with a position of authority, in order to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's private gain.

What is Corruption Preception Index(CPI) ?

The Corruption Perceptions Index is an index which ranks countries "by their perceived levels of public sector corruption, as determined by expert assessments and opinion surveys." The CPI generally defines corruption as an "abuse of entrusted power for private gain

1.CIAA (commission for the investigation of abuse of authority) has been implementing the curative and promotive strategies against corruption.

2. Money laundering prevention act 20 64 and money laundering prevention regulation  2066 have been implemented in Nepal.

3. National Vigilance Center has been established with the aim to promote good governance and check corruption.

4.The subject matters related to the control corruption have been included in the school curriculum.
